Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Randy Bobandy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Barry Baz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bobandy's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, The Ultimate Cheeseburger. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Randy Bobandy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Barry Baz!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Yves DeLean and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bobandy misses with a series of wild punches.
A telegraphed right hand from Bobandy misses the target.
Bobandy throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Bobandy fails to land with a series of punches.
A combination from Bobandy does no damage.
Bobandy lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Baz circles away quickly and effectively.
Bobandy swings for the body but Baz moves out of range.
Nice takedown defense from Bobandy. No joy for Baz on that attempt.
Baz tries to clinch but Bobandy moves out of range.
Baz uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Bobandy.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bobandy rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Baz moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Bobandy is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Baz has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Baz tries to score with some ground and pound. Bobandy controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

enabling Baz to counter with a crisp jab.
Baz tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bobandy sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Baz somewhat.

and Baz counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Randy Bobandy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bobandy looks to land a left hand but Baz moved out of range nicely.
Bobandy throws a shot from downtown. Baz moves away and avoids it.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Bobandy ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Baz moves away.
Bobandy misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
No luck for Baz with that takedown attempt.

and Baz counters with a low kick, right behind Bobandy 's knee.
Baz dives in and grabs Bobandy's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bobandy pushes down on Baz's head and hops out.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Baz shoots in looking for a takedown. Bobandy tries to sprawl out of it but Baz keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bobandy manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Baz won't allow Bobandy to get back to his feet.
Baz stands up out of Bobandy's guard for a moment - Bobandy manages to land a nice upkick.
Bobandy wants to stand but Baz is controlling the position.

Still in half guard, Baz seems content to control.

Bobandy looks like he's trying to stand up.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Well, if Baz is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Baz changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bobandy tries to avoid it but Baz manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bobandy to the ground. Bobandy escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Baz closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Baz is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Bobandy's shoulder. That is not cool.

Baz tries to close the distance and clinch but Bobandy swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Bobandy lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Baz has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Baz and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Well Baz has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
