The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Kalas looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Kalas tries to clinch up.
Kalas tries to close the distance and clinch but Lappalainen swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Kalas drives through and clinches with Lappalainen against the cage.

Lappalainen goes for a takedown in the clinch but Kalas prevents it.

Kalas crunches a lovely knee into Lappalainen's ribcage.
Lappalainen jumps guard but Kalas stands there with Lappalainen around his waist. Lappalainen gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Kalas works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

Kalas has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Lappalainen uses from the top position.

Lappalainen cracks a nice hook into Kalas's ribs.
Kalas connects with a good right hand that stumbles Lappalainen. Lappalainen circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Kalas feints a kick and comes over the top with a right hand, followed by a left hook - both land, sending Lappalainen crashing to the mat! This one is all over!
