The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Johanna Lukiainen and Anni Minnemäki.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mueller has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Patterson misses with a two punch combination.
Patterson wants to clinch up but Mueller keeps it at a distance.
Patterson throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Patterson gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Mueller drops back looking for a leg! Patterson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Patterson manages to kick Mueller off! Mueller jumps back into Patterson's guard.
Patterson wants to sweep here but Mueller controlling him for the moment.

Patterson is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Mueller is aware though and is defending well.
Mueller makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Mueller lands a couple of elbows.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Patterson is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Mueller defends well.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Mueller is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Patterson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Mueller circles away quickly and effectively.

Patterson gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Mueller to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Patterson has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Mueller doesn't defend quickly enough and Patterson has managed to lock this one up! Can Mueller escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Patterson on a fantastic submission victory.
