Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jeff jr Monsoon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kyle Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Monsoon comes to the cage accompanied by tnt. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Kyle Smith!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Monsoon changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Smith looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Monsoon shoots in looking for a takedown. Smith tries to sprawl out of it but Monsoon keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Smith manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Monsoon shoots for a double leg takedown but Smith sprawls well. He's pushed Monsoon's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kyle Smith showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Smith lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Smith.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Monsoon accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Monsoon drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Smith manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Monsoon has Smith in his guard.

Monsoon had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Smith is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Monsoon Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Smith's back instead.

Monsoon patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here?

Smith manages to get to his feet, escaping the difficult position.

Monsoon closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Smith to the mat! Smith manages to get full guard.

It's got to the stage where if one of these guys blows hard enough, the other might fall over.
