Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chris Nylan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cheick Kongo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nylan comes into the arena with retina (despised icon) blaring out of the sound system. Cheick Kongo acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Cheick Kongo!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, William Peck and Steve Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kongo shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Nylan defends it nicely.
Nylan jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Nylan scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Nylan drops Kongo with a right and a left! Nylan comes rushing in but Kongo regains his composure and manages to keep Nylan in guard.

Kongo is rocked!

It looks like Cheick Kongo has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Kongo looking for a guillotine here but Nylan defends easily.
Nylan is stalling in the full guard.
Kongo wants to sweep but no luck.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Nylan tries to free his leg and advance position but Kongo is retaining full guard.

Kongo has his foot on Nylan's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Nylan works his way back into a safe position though.
Kongo looks gassed!
Nylan missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Nylan wants to pass the guard but Kongo is keeping the position.
Nylan seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Kongo looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Kongo keeping full guard, as Nylan tries to pass.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Kongo misses with a takedown attempt - Nylan sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Nylan lands with a nice body punch.
Chris Nylan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Nylan lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Nylan fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Kongo on the side of the head.
Nylan closes the distance and lands a crisp combination that knocks Kongo out cold! Kongo corner are devastated, head in hands behind our commentary position. Poor guys.
