Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dinno Fertit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Optimus Maximus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fertit's entrance music is Stargazers. A fine choice. Optimus Maximus acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Matheus Silva and Alexandre Firmino.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fertit looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Maximus is fending him off so far but Fertit persists. Nope, Maximus circles away and we're back to standing.

Fertit throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Maximus was covering up waiting for the punch and Fertit finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Fertit lands a couple of elbows.
Fertit stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Maximus swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Fertit knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Maximus on the ground.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Fertit connects with a nice short shot to Maximus's temple.

Maximus escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Fertit gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

That was a close round but I would say that Dinno Fertit will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Fertit shoots in for a takedown but Maximus shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Well Maximus has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
