Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mij Neztil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bill Lapointe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lapointe comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Don't Drink The Water kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Bill Lapointe acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Neztil scores with a decent looking hook.
Lapointe tries to clinch there but Neztil circles away.
Neztil will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Lapointe fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Neztil sprawls well initially but Lapointe persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Neztil tries to roll over but Lapointe keeps him under control.

Neztil is defending against the submission attempts here by Lapointe.
Lapointe is keen to just control but Neztil is a slippery customer.
Lapointe wants to advance to full mount but Neztil doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.

Lapointe is looking for a kimura but Neztil is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Lapointe to get the leverage.

Mij Neztil is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Neztil throws a hook but Lapointe blocks it.

Neztil is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Lapointe sees it coming and defends easily.

Neztil wants to control from the top but Lapointe keeps moving.

Neztil got a little sloppy there for a moment and Lapointe has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Neztil has managed to get both his arms back between Lapointe's legs - danger averted.

Neztil cracks Lapointe with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Lapointe looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Neztil finish him?

It looks like Bill Lapointe has been cut.
