Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Sergei Sabotka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dexter Wellington (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dexter Wellington told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Dexter Wellington!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, William Gold and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wellington scores with a shot to the body.
Sabotka moves out of range as Wellington strikes.

No joy there for Wellington, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Wellington keeps the fight on the outside.
Wellington throws a nice looking combination but Sabotka bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Sabotka had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Wellington is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Sabotka Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Wellington's back instead.
Wellington is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Sabotka.
Wellington really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sabotka. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Wellington manages to reverse the position and now he's in Sabotka's guard. Nice work there by Wellington.

Sabotka is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Wellington has his hands clasped together but Sabotka extends an breaks Wellington's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Sabotka.
