Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Donnie O Brien (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gronk Groenhud (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). O Brien comes into the arena with Rocky Road to Dublin blaring out of the sound system. Groenhud has chosen Sometime Lonely by Kelly Chen as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

O Brien shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Groenhud's guard.
Groenhud wants to stand and escape but O Brien is having none of it.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Groenhud is pushing O Brien 's head away, looking to escape. O Brien manages to hold on to the position though.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

O Brien changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Groenhud looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. O Brien connects with a nice short shot to Groenhud's temple.

O Brien is just content to waste time from the top position. Groenhud takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
O Brien stands and throws Groenhud's legs to the side, diving into side control.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

O Brien closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
