Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Steve Lidle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Steve Lidle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, David King!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Elvis Blanc and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King throws a hook but Lidle blocks it.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Lidle shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
King looking for a sweep. Not yet King, not yet.
Lidle trying to control but King is working from the bottom.
King trying to control the position.
King keeping full guard, as Lidle tries to pass.
King trying to keep a closed guard but Lidle is proving a slippery customer.
Lidle landing with the ground and pound.
Lidle pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. King is keeping the position for now.

King had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Lidle is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. King Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Lidle's back instead.

Lidle tries to escape but King has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Lidle breaks King's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Lidle works a leg free and moves into half guard.
King is trying to control but can't.
Lidle trying to mount his opponent but King defends it.
Lidle takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Lidle is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. King doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Lidle.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
King is staying active underneath Lidle, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Lidle is breathing heavily.

Lidle looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
King trying to control here.
King gets back to full guard.
Lidle working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Lidle trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
King manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Lidle manages to get himself to full guard.

King rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

King wants to control but Lidle is keeping busy.
King regains full guard. Nicely done.
Lidle won't allow King to sweep him here.

Lidle postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! King is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Lidle, into his guard.
Lidle utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Lidle is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Lidle throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! King escapes and throws Lidle's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Lidle is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but King is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
Lidle gets back to half guard.
King prevents Lidle from improving his position.
Lidle flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Lidle makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Lidle.

Lidle looking for a guillotine here but King defends easily.

Lidle looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Steve Lidle dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Lidle shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has King pinned against the cage. King gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

King moves into range and connects with a jab.
King looking to land some kicks to the body here.

King keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Steve Lidle. That's going to take a lot out of him.
King misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Lidle shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has King pinned against the cage. King gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Lidle looks for a takedown but King sprawls well.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Jab by King.
Steve Lidle is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Lidle throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around King's waist but King gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lidle off to one side.
Lidle shoots in but King avoids the takedown attempt easily.
King scores with a nice body kick.
King throws the left hand but Lidle avoids the punch easily.
King with a nice cross.


Lidle is rocked!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
King lands a big uppercut and this one is all over! His foe lies motionless on the canvas - a massive one punch knockout!
