PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Joe Hawkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeppen Hel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hawkins comes into the arena with Cockney Rejects - I'm Forever Blowing Bubbles blaring out of the sound system. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hawkins fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Hel, pushing him back against the cage.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Hawkins had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Hel is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Hawkins Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Hel's back instead.
