Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ninja Kid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Riddell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kid comes to the cage accompanied by Stratovarius - Hunting High and Low. Ninja Kid could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Mike Riddell's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kid swats away the attempt to clinch by Riddell.

Kid has his foot on Riddell's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Riddell works his way back into a safe position though.

Kid working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Riddell doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Riddell manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Kid is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Kid might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Riddell is trying to stand up here but Kid is controlling him well.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Kid tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Kid has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Riddell sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Kid uses his free foot to push down on Riddell's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Riddell.
