Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Peter Pattenson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oikea suora (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pattenson's entrance music is Already Home. A fine choice. Oikea suora has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
suora scores with a spinning back kick!
suora shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Pattenson pinned against the cage. Pattenson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Pattenson gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Pattenson wants to improve his position but instead suora has moved into half guard.
suora wants to pass to mount but Pattenson is defending the position.

Pattenson kicks suora off and gets back to his feet.
Pattenson leaves suora with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
suora shoots for a takedown but Pattenson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Peter Pattenson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Oikea suora.

Pattenson throws a head kick but suora moves out of range.

Pattenson fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. suora sprawls well initially but Pattenson persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

suora really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pattenson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Pattenson seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Pattenson seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Pattenson is breathing heavily.

Pattenson stands and steps away. suora gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Pattenson is looking to take a break and control but suora is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

suora is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Pattenson decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

suora rushes Pattenson and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
suora is pushing Pattenson up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

suora has Pattenson pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Pattenson manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
suora using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Pattenson has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
suora has Pattenson pressed against the cage, preventing Pattenson from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Pattenson goes for a takedown attempt but suora pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

and Pattenson counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Peter Pattenson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Oikea suora.

Pattenson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Pattenson is working to tighten is grip on suora's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. suora has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Pattenson is really squeezing tight and eventually suora passes out! Pattenson breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
