Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jhonny Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bryan Christopher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Só na pele Pau pingando. Bryan Christopher is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bryan Christopher!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Chris Downing and Robert Twigg.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Christopher lands a nice shot to the body.
Christopher thumps Silva with a low kick.
Christopher lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Silva circles away quickly and effectively.
Silva shoots in but Christopher avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Jhonny Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Christopher throws a series of punches but Silva moves out of range.
Silva shoots for a takedown but Christopher saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Christopher moves into the clinch successfully.

Christopher successfully pulls guard.
Christopher wants to stand and escape but Silva is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Silva trying to control but Christopher is working from the bottom.
Christopher wants to sweep here but Silva controlling him for the moment.

Silva has gone for a leg lock! Christopher slips out almost immediately though and dives into Silva's guard.
Silva is breathing heavily.

Christopher decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Silva, up you get!

Christopher scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Christopher takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Christopher is thwarting Silva's attempts to control the position.
Christopher looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Silva with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Christopher takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Christopher throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Christopher slows the pace down in half guard.
Christopher lands strikes from half guard.
Silva is trying to control but can't.
Christopher thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Silva's head.

Christopher keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Christopher wants to pass to mount but Silva is defending the position.
Christopher performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Silva on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

I looks like Christopher might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Let's hope that Christopher has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Christopher is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Christopher misses with a double jab.

Silva shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Christopher counters with a right hand to the body.
A slapping body kick lands there for Christopher.
Silva doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
A jab-cross combination lands for Christopher and sends Silva crashing to the mat! Christopher follows him down to the mat - Silva regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!

Silva is rocked!

It looks like Jhonny Silva has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Christopher takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Oh Silva is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Christopher works his foot free and advances to mount.
A big strike lands for Christopher! That's really hurt Silva and he's turned his back - Christopher keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Christopher Jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
