Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Carwin slips a jab and a cross from Belfort.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Carwin is in close to Belfort's body, working some short punches and elbows.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Belfort displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Carwin.

Carwin throws a nice looking combination but Belfort bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Carwin lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Carwin throws a hook to the side of Belfort's head but Belfort sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
