Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Feodoro Contadino (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and He Jin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, He Jin!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Summer Carpenter and Donatello Bradman.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Contadino shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Contadino is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Contadino is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Jin defends it well.
Jin moves into full guard.

Jin is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Contadino is aware though and is defending well.

Jin looking for a guillotine here but Contadino defends easily.
Contadino stands and throws Jin's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Contadino is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Jin knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Contadino is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Jin has escaped the position, nice work there.
Jin is looking for a sweep.
Jin is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Jin tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Contadino wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Contadino is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Jin is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Jin tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Contadino shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Contadino showed some decent athleticism there.

Contadino is looking for a kimura here.
Contadino moves into full mount! Jin won't be happy about that!

It looks like He Jin has been cut.
Jin is trying to escape the mount.
Contadino tries to control but Jin wriggling away.

Contadino has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Contadino is going olschool here, as he tries to force Jin to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Jin shrugs it off.

Contadino is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Jin has managed to escape the submission attempt.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
