Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Paul Daley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ante Raos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Raos has chosen Zagreb as his entrance music. Paul Daley has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Paul Daley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Ante Raos!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Chris Edwards and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Raos closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Daley wants to control but Raos is keeping busy.
Raos sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Daley defending well though.
Raos throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Daley is looking to improve his position.
Raos thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Daley trying to control from the bottom.
Raos tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Daley.
Daley wants to get back to his feet.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Daley shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Raos sprawls well. Raos wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Daley gets slowly back to his feet.

Raos clinches.

Daley throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

Raos ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Raos no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Raos pushes Daley off and gets back to his feet.
Raos fails to land the takedown.
Raos misses with a kick to the body.
Raos shoots in for a takedown but Daley shows good takedown defense.

Raos drives through with a takedown into guard.
Raos looks gassed!
Raos trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Raos accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Raos has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Raos working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Raos has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Daley is proving hard to escape from.
Daley pulls Raos in close to his closed guard and prevents Raos from doing any damage or advancing position.
Raos throws a big right hand that misses.

Daley is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Raos defends well.
Raos wants to control from the top but Daley keeps moving.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Raos changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Daley tries to avoid it but Raos manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Daley to the ground. Daley escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Paul Daley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ante Raos.

Raos drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Daley is not content to let Raos control the position.
Raos misses with the ground and pound.

Raos decides to stand back up. Raos steps back and let's Daley get back to his feet.
Daley tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Raos paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Raos fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Daley fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Raos is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Raos moves in looking to clinch but Daley pushes him off.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Raos throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Daley's waist but Daley gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Raos off to one side.
Raos fails with the takedown.
Daley moves in looking to clinch but Raos pushes him off.
Daley shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Daley tries a head kick but it misses.
Raos shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Daley pinned against the cage. Daley gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Daley throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Raos's waist but Raos gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Daley off to one side.

and Daley decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Raos's guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Raos is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ante Raos dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!


Raos shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Daley but Daley pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Daley is looking to clinch but Raos is avoiding it.
Nice takedown defense from Daley. No joy for Raos on that attempt.

Raos shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Daley napping and manages to drive through into side control!
You can see the frustration on Daley's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Daley tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Raos wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Raos is trying to get an arm triangle but Daley is defending well.
Daley is looking to reverse the position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Raos lands some shots froms side control.
Daley is looking to reverse the position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Raos moves into range and clinches up with Daley.

Raos decides to pull guard.
Raos is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Raos uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Daley tries to score a power double leg takedown but Raos sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Daley somewhat.

Raos moves into the clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Raos jumps guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Raos can do anything to dispel that myth.
Daley looking to pass the guard.
Raos bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Daley's guard.
Daley looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Raos wants to pass the guard but Daley is keeping the position.
Raos lands a couple of elbows.
Raos working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.

Raos gets to his feet - Daley follows without any prompting.

Raos has Daley up against the cage in a clinch.

Raos lands a body shot in the clinch.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Raos creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Raos lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Raos scores with a nice hook to the head.
Raos lands a nice knee to the body.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Raos.
Raos tries a knee to the head but Daley blocks it.
Raos digs a right hand underneath Daley's ribcage. Daley let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Raos pulls guard successfully.
Daley prevents Raos from getting back to his feet.
Daley pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Raos is keeping the position for now.
Raos has control of Daley's left arm, preventing Daley from doing any damage.
Raos wants to sweep but no luck.

Raos is pulling down on Daley's head. It's preventing any offense from Daley, at least for the moment.

Raos has his feet on Daley's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Daley swings for the body but Raos moves out of range.

Raos pushes Daley up against the cage in a clinch.
Raos lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Daley swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Raos gets control of Daley's arms and successfully pulls guard. Raos will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Raos has control of Daley's left arm, preventing Daley from doing any damage.

Raos looking for a triangle here. Daley is fighting it but it looks tight! Raos pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Daley is tapping out - this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Ante Raos!
