Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kiazer Soze (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Spackman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Soze's entrance music is Holy Tears. A fine choice. Spackman has chosen Forgot about Dre as his entrance music. John Spackman struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 186.5lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. John Spackman looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, John Spackman!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Daniel Bishop and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch combination from Soze misses.
Soze looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Spackman is fending him off so far but Soze persists. Nope, Spackman circles away and we're back to standing.

Spackman might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Soze kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Spackman got a little sloppy there for a moment and Soze has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Spackman has managed to get both his arms back between Soze's legs - danger averted.

Soze isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Spackman stacks Soze on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Spackman!

Soze is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Spackman is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Spackman has escaped and now he's on top!

Soze is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Spackman is aware though and is defending well.

Soze slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Soze goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Spackman has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Soze but great work by Spackman.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Spackman is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Soze is just riding it out for now. Spackman eventually gives up the hold.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Spackman tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Soze throws a hook but Spackman avoids it easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!


Soze shoots in but no luck this time.

Soze closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Spackman has Soze pressed against the cage, preventing Soze from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Spackman is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Soze pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Soze had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Spackman is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Soze Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Spackman's back instead.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Spackman is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Soze locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Spackman is forced to tap!
