Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Dent Core (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Blippy Janks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Core comes into the arena with FedUp blaring out of the sound system. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Janks decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Janks seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Janks not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Janks trying to control the action but Core is working from the bottom.
Janks stalling.
Janks passes to side control.
Core knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Janks on the ground.

Janks is trying to get an arm triangle but Core is defending well.

Core looks to move to half guard but instead Janks has passed into mount! Damn!

Janks swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Core is now in Janks's guard. A big mistake from Janks there, giving up the dominant position!
Janks has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Core trying to control but Janks is working from the bottom.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Janks is on top in guard.
Janks loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Core trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Janks pushes down on Core's leg and manages to get into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Janks in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Core tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Janks!
