The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grohl swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Groucho throws a sloppy head kick and Grohl moves out of range easily.
Grohl tries to bum rush Groucho with a series of wild strikes but Groucho uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
No luck for Grohl with that takedown attempt.
Grohl shoots in and drives through. Groucho sprawls well.
Grohl takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Groucho goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

Grohl drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Groucho thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Grohl if he has to take too many more of those.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Grohl has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Groucho is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Groucho wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Grohl has him pressed against the cage.

Groucho explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.

Grohl's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Groucho fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Grohl.

Grohl closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
