The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Swidenbank is defended easily by Perado.
Swidenbank throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Perado.
A nice inside leg kick there by Swidenbank. That's going to slow Perado down.
Perado pivots, looking for a leg kick but Swidenbank is out of range and Perado settles back down.
Swidenbank shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Swidenbank changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Perado tries to avoid it but Swidenbank manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Perado to the ground. Perado escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Des Perado has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Paul Swidenbank.
Perado displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Swidenbank.
Swidenbank misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Swidenbank thows a leg kick but Perado checks it

Swidenbank shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Perado as he avoids it easily.
Swidenbank shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Perado pinned against the cage. Perado gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Paul Swidenbank seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Swidenbank looks gassed!
Swidenbank buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
A solid leg kick lands there for Perado.
Swidenbank takes a shot right to the bread basket.

Perado throws a nice outside leg kick.

Perado connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Perado dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Swidenbank. That did some damage!
Perado is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Swidenbank is trying desperately to land a takedown but Perado is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Swidenbank.
A chopping leg kick lands by Perado.

It looks like Paul Swidenbank has been cut.
Perado cracks Swidenbank on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Swidenbank falls backwards against the cage. Perado follows up with more strikes that drop Swidenbank to his knees. Perado keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Swidenbank! This one is all over!
