Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pippen Wellingsworth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Barney Phife (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Wellingsworth might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Hawthorne Heights - Ohio Is For Lovers. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wellingsworth fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Wellingsworth fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Wellingsworth looks to land a right hand but Phife moved out of range.
Wellingsworth throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Phife works Wellingsworth's body with a nice hook.

Wellingsworth drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Phife avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Wellingsworth.
Phife sneaks back into half guard.
Phife slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Phife is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Wellingsworth has hold of Phife's hands but Phife slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Phife seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Wellingsworth does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Phife blocks the strikes from Wellingsworth.

Wellingsworth is defending against the submission attempts here by Phife.

Phife is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Wellingsworth has managed to free his arm - good work.
Wellingsworth on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Wellingsworth tries to get out of the position.
Wellingsworth throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Wellingsworth knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Phife on the ground.
Wellingsworth is trying to control but can't.

Phife is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Phife lands with a punch from half guard.
Phife looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Wellingsworth with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Phife is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Wellingsworth is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
