Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Renan Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andy Souwer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Silva might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Guerreiro. Souwer has chosen System Of A Down - Science as his entrance music. Andy Souwer is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Souwer.
Souwer looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Silva shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Souwer lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Silva circles away quickly and effectively.
Souwer rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Silva moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Souwer gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Silva to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Souwer pushes Silva off and scrambles back to his feet.

Souwer throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Souwer tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Andy Souwer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Souwer throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Silva.
Souwer scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Souwer misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Souwer fails to land with a series of punches.
Souwer tries a head kick but it misses.
Souwer throws a right and a left that both miss.
Silva shoots for a double leg takedown but Souwer sprawls well. He's pushed Silva's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Souwer avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Silva fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Silva throws a hook to the side of Souwer's head but Souwer sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Souwer lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Silva circles away quickly and effectively.
Souwer swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Souwer throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Souwer stuffs the takedown attempt from Silva. Silva gets slowly back to his feet.
Souwer misses with a double jab.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Silva shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Souwer is trying to stand up here but Silva is controlling him well.
Souwer really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Silva. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Souwer is not content to let Silva control the position.
Silva tries to pass the half guard into mount. Souwer knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Silva frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Silva throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Souwer has his hands clasped together but Silva breaks the hold and Souwer is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Silva!
