Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Patrick Kain!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Alec Ball and William Peck.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kain throws a right hand that Mica ducks under and follows up with a left that Mica also avoids with ease.
Kain tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Kain swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Kain misses with a two punch combination.
Kain moves in looking to clinch but Mica pushes him off.
Kain stalks Mica and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Mica's face. Mica staggers backwards, shaken.

Mica shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Kain napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mica looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Kain is avoiding damage well.
Mica is breathing heavily.
Kain prevents Mica from moving into mount.
Kain is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Mica is controlling him well.
Kain manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Mica tries to roll over but Kain keeps him under control.
It looks like Kain is going to stand back up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Kain misses with a double jab.
Patrick Kain seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Kain drives through with a takedown into guard.
Mica keeping moving, preventing Kain from controlling successfully.
Mica striking off his back but it's not causing Kain any problems.

Mica escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kain gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Kain wants to stand but Mica has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Mica lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Kain!
Kain holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Mica tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Mica misses with a head shot.

Mica is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Kain can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Mica jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Kain manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Mica tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Kain prevents Mica from improving position.

Mica wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Kain, who protects the arm well.
Mica has knee on belly and moves into mount.

Mica is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Kain has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Mica wants to finish this one by submission but Kain is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Mica.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Thomas Mica will probably get the nod.

No joy there for Kain, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Kain tries to hold on but Mica postures up.
Kain is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Kain squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Kain can't escape the position.

Mica lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

Mica throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Kain has his hands clasped together but Mica breaks the hold and Kain is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Mica!
