The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
B Goode fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Jura clinches up against the cage.
B Goode tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
B Goode wants a takedown but no success here.
B Goode misses with a hook to the ribs.
B Goode is trying to break the clinch but Jura has him pressed against the cage.
Jura drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

B Goode has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Jura uses from the top position.
Jura is fighting to break B Goode's control of his arms but B Goode is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Jura seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but B Goode does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Jura stands up and beckons B Goode to join him on the feet.

Martin Jura has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Johnny B Goode.

Jura gets control of B Goode's arms and successfully pulls guard. Jura will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
B Goode wants to control from the top but Jura keeps moving.

B Goode had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Jura is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. B Goode Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Jura's back instead.
B Goode is not going to allow Jura to sit and survive in this position.
B Goode is trying to stick to Jura's back but Jura is turning into B Goode. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in B Goode's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Jura.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Jura darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Jura is nestled in close to B Goode, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Jura has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. B Goode is working away from the top position though.

B Goode throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jura's waist but Jura gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing B Goode off to one side.
