Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Volovan Ubi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jesus Slate (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Daniel Blasius and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slate misses with a wild body shot.
Slate throws a right and a left that Ubi avoids nicely.
Slate circles away from the clinch attempt.
Ubi scores a takedown into full mount!
Slate tries to lock up and control but Ubi gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Slate tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Slate defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Ubi.

Ubi misses with a takedown attempt - Slate sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Slate misses with a hook. Ubi ducked under it nicely.
Ubi closes the distance and clinches up with Slate, looking for a takedown. Ubi pushes Slate against the ropes but Slate circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Slate keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
It looks like Volovan Ubi has been cut.
Slate throws a nice looking combination but Ubi bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Ubi uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Slate.
Ubi takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Slate lands a left and a right that send Ubi crashing to the mat, dazed. Slate thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Slate wants to get back to his feet but Ubi is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Ubi takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Slate drops Ubi with a beautiful combination! Ubi stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Slate is looking for the KO!
Oh Ubi is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
