Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Hama Wise (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Prince Walter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Hama Wise has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Hama Wise!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Prince Walter!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Andrew Berry and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wise fails to land the takedown.
Walter looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Wise tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Walter paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Walter keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Wise thuds his shin into the meat of Walter's side.
Wise shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Walter but Walter pushes him off and we're back to square one.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hama Wise. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Wise moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Wise keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Walter blocks a head kick by Wise.
Wise shoots for a takedown but Walter saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Wise chopping away at his opponent's legs.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Wise moves in looking to clinch but Walter pushes him off.
Wise tries to close the distance and clinch but Walter swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Walter rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Wise moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Wise rushes Walter and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Wise lands with a short punch from the clinch.

Wise jumps guard.
Wise wants to stand and escape but Walter is having none of it.
Wise doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Walter accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Wise manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Walter manages to get himself to full guard.
Wise has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Wise in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Wise trying to control but Walter is working from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Walter wants to sweep here but Wise controlling him for the moment.

Walter is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Wise wants to control from the top but Walter keeps moving.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Walter displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Wise.
Wise fails in his attempt to clinch.
Wise shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Walter sprawls well. Walter wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Wise gets slowly back to his feet.
Walter keeps the fight on the outside.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Walter.
Wise is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Walter asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Wise could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Walter is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Wise is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Walter has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hama Wise dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

and Walter counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Wise thinking.

Walter displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Wise.
Wise tries to land a front kick but Walter steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

and Walter counters with a shoot takedown. Wise fights it but they end up in guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Wise can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Walter controls the pace.

Walter is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Wise is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Wise has escaped and now he's on top!

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Walter is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Walter wants to get back to his feet.
Wise prevents Walter from improving his position.

Wise seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Walter does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Wise wants to pass to mount but Walter is defending the position.
Wise is keen to just control but Walter is a slippery customer.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Wise is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Walter.
Wise tries to clinch up.
Wise shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Walter counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Wise is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Wise wants to take a breather but Walter is having none of it.
Wise seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Walter desperately trying to maintain half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Walter is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Prince Walter showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Walter decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Walter wants to stand but Wise has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Wise regains full guard. Nicely done.
Wise is looking to stand up but Walter isn't so interested in that idea.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Wise shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Walter counters with a single leg into guard. Wise didn't expect that.
Walter slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Wise working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Walter doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Walter manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Walter stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Wise swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Wise looking to hit a scissor sweep but Walter is one step ahead there.

Walter tries to free his leg and advance position but Wise is retaining full guard.

Walter has gone for a leg lock! Wise slips out almost immediately though and dives into Walter's guard.

Walter is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Wise pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Walter is keeping the position for now.
Prince Walter has got the better of the ground game so far.
Wise keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Walter's head.
Walter wants to sweep here but Wise controlling him for the moment.
Walter is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Wise shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Walter pinned against the cage. Walter gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

And that's the end of the fight!
Prince Walter comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Walter has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
