Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Clive Gant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kaleo Cruz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cruz is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Powers That Be. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cruz misses with a few strikes there.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Cruz, as that shot connected.

Gant gets caught flat footed, as Cruz shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Cruz tries to free his leg and advance position but Gant is retaining full guard.

Gant looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Cruz gets to his feet - Gant follows without any prompting.

Cruz changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Gant looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Cruz has Gant pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Cruz pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Gant tumbling to the mat - Cruz dives into Gant's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Gant is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Cruz defends well.
