Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Howard Beale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ezra Pound (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Beale comes to the cage accompanied by Mad As Hell. Pound is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Toots & The Maytals - Pressure Drop. Ezra Pound has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Howard Beale!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ezra Pound!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Lou da Vinci and John Kavanagh.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beale tries to clinch there but Pound circles away.

Pound closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Pound with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Beale goes for a takedown in the clinch but Pound prevents it.
Pound keeps control of Beale as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Beale drops down looking for an ankle pick but Pound pulls his leg out and moves away.
Beale shoots for a double leg takedown but Pound sprawls well. He's pushed Beale's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Howard Beale. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Beale tries to clinch there but Pound circles away.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Howard Beale.
Well Pound has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
