Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Radbod Blank and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shade wants to clinch.
Shade closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Akbia did well to prevent Shade getting side control.
Shade thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Akbia's head.
Akbia wants to control but Shade is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Shade is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Akbia sees it coming and defends easily.
Shade has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Shade got a little sloppy there for a moment and Akbia has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Shade has managed to get both his arms back between Akbia's legs - danger averted.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Akbia throws a sloppy head kick and Shade moves out of range easily.
Akbia changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Shade tries to avoid it but Akbia manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Shade to the ground. Shade escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
