The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kovas lands with a shot to the body.
Parker fails with a takedown attempt.
Parker keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

It looks like Victor Kovas has been cut.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Kovas wants to stand and escape but Parker is having none of it.

A close round but Bob Parker will probably get the nod.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Parker is trying to land a reversal but Kovas doesn't like that idea too much. He pushed the legs to the side and dives into side control. He's managed to grab a loose arm triangle.
