Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Josh Waterman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mohammad Ali (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Josh Waterman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Mohammad Ali!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Chris Edwards and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ali showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Waterman.
Ali lands a high kick!
Waterman lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Ali circles away quickly and effectively.

Ali has closed the distance and engaged Waterman in a clinch.

Ali breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Waterman lands with a nice combination. Ali backs away looking to recover.

Ali looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Waterman!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Ali takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Waterman is working to get back to half guard.
Ali in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.

Waterman throwing hammer fists to the chest of Ali. What's that going to do exactly?
Ali punishing his opponent with strikes.
Waterman is looking to improve his position but Ali isn't that keen on the idea.
Ali looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Ali takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Ali avoids the attempt from Waterman to control.
Waterman sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Waterman tries to roll over but Ali keeps him under control.
Ali throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Ali stops Waterman from getting back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ali frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Waterman tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Ali get's back to his feet.
Waterman is breathing heavily.
Ali lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Waterman looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Ali closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.


Waterman is rocked!

Ali decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Ali shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Waterman manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Oh Waterman is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Ali stays in close to Waterman's body and controls the position.
Waterman seems to have got his legs back now.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Waterman is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Waterman wants to control the position but Ali says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Ali seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Ali stands up from half guard.

Ali shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Ali was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Ali avoids the attempt from Waterman to control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Waterman is trying to stand but he's not in a good position to be doing that! Ali has taken his back!
Waterman tries to break free.
Waterman wants to get back to his feet.
Ali has good solid back control here.
Waterman trying to control the action but Ali just sinks the hooks in.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mohammad Ali dominated that round.
That's time! Waterman's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



Ali is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Waterman's half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mohammad Ali has got the better of the ground game so far.
Ali tries to pass the half guard into mount. Waterman knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Ali is trying to control. Waterman wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Waterman gets back to full guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Ali postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Waterman is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Ali, into his guard.

Ali keeping moving, preventing Waterman from controlling successfully.
Waterman trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Waterman drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Ali dives on top into guard.
Ali trying to control but Waterman is working from the bottom.

Waterman looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Ali works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Ali trying to control the action but Waterman is working from the bottom.
Ali stalling away here and it's allowed Waterman to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Ali is pushing down on Waterman's leg trying to pass to half guard. Waterman is fighting to maintain full guard but Ali has managed to sneak the leg through.
Ali is looking to advance position but Waterman won't allow it.
Ali trying to control the action but Waterman is working from the bottom.
Waterman gets back to full guard.

Ali throws a strike but Waterman rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Ali wants to sweep but no luck.
Waterman wants to get up but he can't break Ali's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Ali. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Waterman throwing strikes from guard but Ali blocks nicely.
Waterman wants to stand but Ali has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Ali tries to land a sweep but no joy.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Ali is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Waterman wants to control from the top but Ali keeps moving.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Waterman fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Ali, pushing him back against the cage.
Waterman is trying to break free.
Waterman lands a body shot.
Waterman doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Ali lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Waterman is trying to maintain the position but Ali is very close to passing his half guard.
Waterman regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Ali.
Waterman is looking to stand up but Ali isn't so interested in that idea.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mohammad Ali showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! And we move into the final round!


Ali circles away from the clinch attempt

and Ali decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Waterman's guard.

Waterman looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Ali passes into half guard.
Ali passes to side control.
Ali in side control lands a decent elbow.
Waterman is not content to let Ali control the position.
Ali is staying tight to Waterman's torso, preventing him from escaping.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Waterman is trying to improve his position.
Waterman manages to work his way to half guard, despite Ali's best efforts.
Waterman missing with punches from the bottom.
Waterman trying to control from the bottom.
Waterman is trying to stand up here but Ali is controlling him well.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Ali uses his free foot to push down on Waterman's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Waterman.
Ali controlling the pace for now.
Ali is landing with some decent strikes but Waterman is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Waterman tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Waterman wants to control but Ali is having none of it.

Ali looking to control and managing it successfully.
Waterman tries to improve his position but instead Ali has taken his back!
Ali just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Ali's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

Waterman is looking for a sweep. Ali is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Mohammad Ali comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Ali winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
