The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Chris Edwards and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jamal walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
It looks like Jones Jamal has been cut.
Gomez uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Jamal.
Gomez shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
A nice leg kick lands there from Gomez.
Gomez throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Gomez throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
A punch lands to the side of Jamal 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Jamal is not content to let Gomez control the position.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Gomez crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Jamal - the referee stops the clock and Gomez gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Jamal. Gomez manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Jamal has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Gomez is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
