Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Yuyu Hakusho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Sharpe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Trevor Gratis and Gregory Folan.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sharpe tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hakusho was well out of range. Poor timing from Sharpe.
Hakusho takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
No luck for Hakusho with that takedown attempt.
Sharpe lands a head shot.
Hakusho throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Hakusho shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Sharpe as he jumps to the side.
Sharpe misses the jab.
Sharpe lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hakusho circles away quickly and effectively.
Hakusho wants to clinch up but Sharpe keeps it at a distance.
Yuyu Hakusho seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sharpe avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Hakusho shoots for a double leg takedown but Sharpe sprawls well. He's pushed Hakusho's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Hakusho moves in looking to clinch but Sharpe pushes him off.
Hakusho doesn't manage to clinch there - Sharpe circles away.
Hakusho moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Sharpe throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Sharpe throws an overhand right that lands on Hakusho's shoulder, as Hakusho tries to avoid the shot.
Hakusho needs to keep his hands up - Sharpe had a free shot at his head there.

Hakusho wants to clinch up but Sharpe keeps it at a distance.
A slapping body kick lands there for Sharpe.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Hakusho throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Hakusho jabs Sharpe right on the nose. Sharpe blinks but takes it well.

Hakusho shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Sharpe napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Sharpe takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Hakusho throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Sharpe works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.

Hakusho trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Hakusho thows a big elbow that misses.
Sharpe avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Hakusho wants to control from the top but Sharpe keeps moving.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Sharpe is looking to reverse the position.
Sharpe gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Hakusho fails to move to back control.
Sharpe is trying to escape the mount but Hakusho keeps good control and instead manages to take Sharpe's back.

Hakusho has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Sharpe has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hakusho fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Sharpe sprawls well initially but Hakusho persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Sharpe avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Hakusho.

Hakusho works his way into full mount!

Hakusho wants to finish this one by submission but Sharpe is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Hakusho.
Hakusho lands a big shot there that rocks Sharpe but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hakusho has control of Sharpe's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Sharpe regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Hakusho can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Sharpe is looking to escape.

Hakusho breaks from Sharpe's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Hakusho lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Sharpe hang on?
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hakusho goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Sharpe is on top in guard.

Hakusho looking for a guillotine here but Sharpe defends easily.

Hakusho looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Hakusho bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Sharpe's guard.
Hakusho in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Hakusho passes into half guard.

Hakusho is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Sharpe defends it well.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Sharpe manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Hakusho tries to clinch there but Sharpe circles away.

Hakusho shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Hakusho showed some decent athleticism there.

Hakusho is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Hakusho uses his free foot to push down on Sharpe's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Sharpe.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Sharpe takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Hakusho tries to close the distance and clinch but Sharpe swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Hakusho lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Sharpe keeps the fight on the outside.
Hakusho fails with an attempt to clinch.

Hakusho moves into the clinch successfully.
Hakusho unloads a knee to the mid-section.
Hakusho fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Hakusho tries a knee to the head but Sharpe blocks it.
Sharpe tries to pull guard but Hakusho holds him up against the cage and eventually Sharpe drops back down to his feet.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Hakusho just misses with a elbow thrown towards Sharpe's brow.

Hakusho has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Sharpe clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Yuyu Hakusho overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Hakusho working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Sharpe is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Hakusho has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Sharpe taps out!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:40 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Yuyu Hakusho!
