Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Oscar Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antonio Nogueira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Alexandre Firmino and Edson Gomes.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva tries to clinch there but Nogueira circles away.
Silva tries a head kick but it misses.
Nogueira is trying hard to land a takedown here. Silva sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Nice sprawl there from Silva as Nogueira shoots in.
Nogueira tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Silva swivels and escapes.
Oscar Silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Antonio Nogueira.
Silva throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.

Nogueira should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Nogueira is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Silva is aware though and is defending well.
Silva has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Nogueira working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Silva doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Silva manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Silva stands up and waves to Nogueira to follow him.

Nogueira feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Nogueira wants to control from the top but Silva keeps moving.
Silva knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Nogueira on the ground.

Silva will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
