Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Maia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Minowa Shittu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Maia might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Stranglehold-Ted Nugent. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Daniel Cesar and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Shittu as Maia shoots in.
Shittu shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Shittu was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Shittu really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Maia. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Maia slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Maia is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Shittu's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Shittu's back!
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Maia's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

Maia wants to hit a switch here but Shittu passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Maia there!
Shittu is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Maia can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
It looks like David Maia has been cut.
Maia is looking to get to half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
