Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ahmed Abudabi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damian Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ahmed Abudabi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Frank Dennis and Cecil Peabody.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie blocks a head kick by Abudabi.

Gracie drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Gracie drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Abudabi manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Gracie has Abudabi in his guard.

Gracie looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Gracie had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Abudabi is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Gracie Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Abudabi's back instead.

Gracie has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Abudabi has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Gracie looking to finish the fight with a rear naked choke. Abudabi is controlling Gracie 's left arm and he spins nicely into guard.

Gracie is looking to sweep but instead, Abudabi has passed into half guard.

Gracie is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Abudabi pulls his head out easily.
Gracie wants to improve his position but Abudabi is controlling well.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Abudabi stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Gracie to get to his feet.

Gracie moves into range and clinches up with Abudabi.
Gracie fails to pull guard.
Gracie prevents Abudabi from breaking the clinch.
Gracie keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Abudabi's efforts to push away.
Gracie can't get the takedown.
Abudabi is trying to force a seperation but Gracie has the dominant position.
Abudabi tries to break free but Gracie pushes him back against the cage.

Abudabi breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Abudabi tries a head kick but it misses.
Gracie avoids the head kick by Abudabi.

Gracie scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Gracie looks gassed!

Gracie has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Abudabi is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Gracie yanks on the arm and Abudabi is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Gracie.
