The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Smith, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Lessnar misses with a double jab.

Lessnar fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Smith avoids it really well and circles away.

Lessnar moves into range and clinches up with Smith.

Lessnar ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Lessnar no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Lessnar is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Smith has his hands clasped together but Lessnar extends an breaks Smith's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Lessnar.
