The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice body kick there by Alexis.
Alexis swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Mason Alexis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Thaler avoids the head kick by Alexis.
Alexis lands a nice hook to Thaler's body. Thaler takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Good exchange - Alexis coming out on top.
Alexis throws a shot to the body.
Alexis throws a push kick but Thaler slaps the foot to one side.
Thaler closes the distance and clinches up with Alexis, looking for a takedown. Thaler pushes Alexis against the cage but Alexis circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Thaler moves forwards but Alexis connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Thaler throws a shot from downtown. Alexis moves away and avoids it.
Thaler misses with a takedown attempt - Alexis sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Alexis lands a nice shot that snaps Thaler's head back.
Thaler shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Alexis counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Thaler thinking.
Mason Alexis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ervic Thaler.
Alexis connects with a looping right hand.
Whack! Alexis lands a heavy head kick that drops Thaler. The ref tackles Alexis to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Thaler was done.
