Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Paul The Ribber!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Harri Mulqvist!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Tarja Halkonen and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The Ribber moves into the clinch.
The Ribber drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Mulqvist gets the underhooks and prevents it.

The Ribber has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Mulqvist is trying to keep an underhook but The Ribber manages to get the takedown into half guard.

The Ribber seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Mulqvist drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but The Ribber manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Mulqvist has The Ribber in his guard.

The Ribber avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Mulqvist escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. The Ribber gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Mulqvist is on top in guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Harri Mulqvist dominated that round.
That's time! The Ribber's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


The Ribber tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mulqvist swats him away and circles back towards the center.
The Ribber misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
The Ribber shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Mulqvist pinned against the cage. Mulqvist gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

The Ribber changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Mulqvist looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The Ribber is looking to take a break and control but Mulqvist is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Mulqvist tries to improve position but can't.

Mulqvist manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Mulqvist is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but The Ribber pulls his head out easily.
The Ribber wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mulqvist keeps working.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Mulqvist motions for The Ribber to come forward. Mulqvist throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Mulqvist shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. The Ribber defends it nicely.
The Ribber bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
The Ribber dives in and grabs Mulqvist's left leg, looking for a takedown. Mulqvist pushes down on The Ribber's head and hops out.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The Ribber tries to clinch up.
The Ribber shoots in but no luck this time.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Paul The Ribber. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The crowd cheers as The Ribber lands an impressive looking overhand right. Mulqvist doesn't seem phased though.

Mulqvist closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Mulqvist is trying for a kimura here. The Ribber looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Mulqvist wins by kimura!
