The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yanagida displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Yuki throws out the jab.
Yuki shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Yanagida but Yanagida pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Yuki gets caught flat footed, as Yanagida shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Yanagida thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Yanagida has gone for a leg lock! Yuki slips out almost immediately though and dives into Yanagida's guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Yanagida looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Yuki is defending well. Yanagida quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Yuki has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Yanagida celebrates on the ropes, with the crowd.
