Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Benji Lab (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and noel adam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). adam has chosen regulate as his entrance music. Benji Lab has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lab misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from adam.
Lab fails with an attempt to clinch.
adam swats away the attempt to clinch by Lab.
adam is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
adam tries to clinch but Lab is having none of it.
Lab fakes high and swings low for a body shot but adam manages to avoid it.

Lab tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but adam was well out of range. Poor timing from Lab.

and adam counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Lab tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but adam swivels and escapes.

and adam counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by adam.
adam goes for a takedown in the clinch but Lab prevents it.
Lab is trying to break free.
adam is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Lab pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Lab drops to a knee looking for a takedown but adam gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Lab is pressed up against the cage. adam has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Lab down to the mat. Lab avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Benji Lab has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of noel adam.

adam stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lab swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
adam trying to control the position from guard on top but Lab is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

adam drops back looking for a leg! Lab is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Lab manages to kick adam off! adam jumps back into Lab's guard.
Lab pulls adam in close to his closed guard and prevents adam from doing any damage or advancing position.
adam throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Lab works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but noel adam will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Lab bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

adam misses with a strike from the bottom.
adam is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Lab asserts his dominance and retains side control.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

The fight stays on the outside here - Lab looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Lab throws a hook to the side of adam's head but adam sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Lab is really struggling to find his range with his punches. adam's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.

so adam counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Lab might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

That was a close second round but I would say that Benji Lab will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! And we move into the final round!
