The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight moves into the clinch position.

Mashdein has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. TheRotten is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

TheRotten is looking to control Mashdein's arms but Mashdein gets an underhook and turns him. Now TheRotten has his back to the cage.

TheRotten is persisting with his attempts to control the action in the clinch, rather than do any real damage.

Mashdein drops to a knee looking for a takedown but TheRotten gets the underhooks and prevents it.
TheRotten has Mashdein pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Mashdein manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

TheRotten ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. TheRotten no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
TheRotten is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Mashdein wants to improve his position but TheRotten is controlling well.

Mashdein tries to roll over but TheRotten keeps him under control.
TheRotten is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Poor strikes thrown by TheRotten there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Mashdein might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
