Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Zach Hockert (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and jo big (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Zach Hockert!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, jo big!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
big explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
The fight stays on the outside here - big looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

big closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Hockert to the mat! Hockert manages to get full guard.
Hockert preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hockert is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Hockert looking for a guillotine here but big defends easily.

Hockert throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! big escapes and throws Hockert's legs to the side, diving into side control!

big is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

big is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hockert is not content to let big control the position.

Hockert is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but big pulls his head out easily.
big thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Hockert's head.
big seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Hockert does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Hockert looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Both fighters circling a little - big finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Hockert throws a series of punches but big avoids them all with ease.

big looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.

Hockert has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. big is working away from the top position though.

Hockert is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and big defends well.
big is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
big wants to stand but Hockert has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Hockert escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. big gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as big accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
big must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Hockert bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in big's guard.
Hockert slips nicely into half guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if big can do anything to dispel that myth.

Hockert had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. big is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Hockert Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take big's back instead.
