The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Donatello Bradman and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Petrovich does no damage.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Diaz is defended easily by Petrovich.
No luck for Diaz with that takedown attempt.
Petrovich thuds a left hand into Diaz's body.

Petrovich looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Petrovich throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Diaz tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Petrovich paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Petrovich drops Diaz with a right and a left! Petrovich comes rushing in but Diaz regains his composure and manages to keep Petrovich in guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Petrovich tries to free his leg and advance position but Diaz is retaining full guard.

Diaz wants to get back to full guard but Petrovich has passed into side control.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Petrovich wants to control the pace but Diaz is squirming around nicely.

Petrovich misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Petrovich throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Diaz because Petrovich loaded up on that one.
Petrovich unloads with some shots from mount but Diaz bucks and avoids them well.
Diaz is wriggling around trying to escape.
Petrovich throws some wild stikes that Diaz manages to avoid easily.

Petrovich knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Diaz on the ground.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Diaz tries to reverse the position but Petrovich maintains control.
Diaz is bucking up trying to escape but Petrovich cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alekai Petrovich dominated that round.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Petrovich dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Petrovich throws a series of punches but Diaz avoids them all with ease.
Diaz is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Anacleto Diaz's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Anacleto Diaz's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
