Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Henry Moy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrew Cheng (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Daniel Cesar and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cheng throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Moy was covering up waiting for the punch and Cheng finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Moy looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Cheng throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Cheng works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Moy trying to control but Cheng postures up.
Moy tries to kick Cheng off in order to stand up. Cheng Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.

Moy misses with an elbow from the bottom.
Moy gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Cheng moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Moy has worked his arm free - good work by Moy!
Moy is looking for a sweep.

Cheng tries to score with some ground and pound. Moy controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Cheng laying and praying for a moment but Moy takes advantage and regains half guard.

Moy is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Cheng jumps into side control!
Moy parries the strikes from Cheng easily there. Cheng is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Moy to escape.
Cheng gets to mount! Moy was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Cheng wants to control the pace but Moy is squirming around nicely.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Moy is trying desperately to improve position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Moy looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Cheng is fending him off so far but Moy persists. Nope, Cheng circles away and we're back to standing.
Moy tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Cheng swivels and escapes.
Moy lands with a kick to the ribs.
Cheng tries to close the distance and clinch but Moy swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Cheng is taking a breather. Moy says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Cheng moves into full mount! Moy won't be happy about that!

Moy tries to escape the position.
Cheng lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Cheng.

Cheng thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Cheng punches the canvas rather than the man.

What can Moy do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

Cheng is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Cheng looking to break Moy's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Moy remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Cheng will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
Cheng lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Moy hold on?!
Cheng just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.

Andrew Cheng showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

and Moy counters with an inside leg kick.
Cheng throws a series of punches but Moy moves out of range.
Cheng tries to clinch but Moy is having none of it.
Cheng is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Moy pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Moy avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Cheng has a takedown stuffed.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
No luck for Moy with that takedown attempt.

and Moy counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Moy.
Henry Moy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andrew Cheng.

Cheng's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Cheng is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Moy wants a takedown.
Cheng has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Moy uses from the top position.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Henry Moy.
Well Cheng has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
