The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rua tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
VELASQUEZ throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Rua.
Rua on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

It looks like Shogun Rua has been cut.
A head kick from Rua lands but VELASQUEZ takes it in his stride.

It looks like CAIN VELASQUEZ has been cut.
Oh, that's a big right hand from VELASQUEZ and Rua goes tumbling to the canvas! VELASQUEZ follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.

Rua is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
VELASQUEZ creates some space for himself and unloads with a monster right hand! That one landed with a sickening thud - Rua is out cold and this one is all over! VELASQUEZ climbs onto the cage to celebrate with his corner!! He's shouting something into the camera but he's still got his mouthpiece in so God knows what he's actually saying.
