The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGee gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

McGee feints and as oneill Jr raises his hands in defense, McGee changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
oneill Jr is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
McGee in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
oneill Jr really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

McGee keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of oneill Jr's head.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
oneill Jr connects with a jab.
McGee fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
oneill Jr throws a sloppy head kick and McGee moves out of range easily.

oneill Jr displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as McGee throws out the jab.

McGee closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming oneill Jr to the mat! oneill Jr manages to get full guard.
oneill Jr is looking to stand up but McGee isn't so interested in that idea.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
oneill Jr is breathing heavily.

McGee decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

McGee scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
oneill Jr is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but McGee has just dragged him back down to the mat.
McGee is putting a hurting on oneill Jr here, landing some big shots from side control.
oneill Jr is looking for a sweep.
McGee cracks oneill Jr with a big right hand but oneill Jr just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

He's looking for a kimura. oneill Jr seems comfortable defending it but McGee has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! oneill Jr is real pain and he's forced to tap out! oneill Jr is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but McGee couldn't care less - he's delighted!
