Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Takenobu Cavalcante (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tokugawa Ieyasu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cavalcante comes to the cage accompanied by Immigrant Song. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Takenobu Cavalcante!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tokugawa Ieyasu!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Shigeki Sano and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ieyasu shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Ieyasu showed some decent athleticism there.

Cavalcante looking for submissions off his back.

Ieyasu looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Let's hope that Ieyasu has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Cavalcante is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Ieyasu is controlling the pace.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Cavalcante is looking for a sweep. Ieyasu is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Ieyasu perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Cavalcante trying to get back to full guard but Ieyasu takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!

Ieyasu tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Cavalcante is looking to improve his position but Ieyasu isn't that keen on the idea.
Cavalcante is in a horrible position here. Ieyasu smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Cavalcante tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Ieyasu tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Cavalcante can't escape the position.
Cavalcante is breathing heavily.
Ieyasu looking to control and managing it successfully.

Despite being in the dominant position, Tokugawa Ieyasu just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Ieyasu fails to land with a series of punches.

Ieyasu closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Ieyasu stands up and beckons Cavalcante to his feet.

Cavalcante working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ieyasu doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ieyasu manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Ieyasu working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Cavalcante's head.
Ieyasu makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Ieyasu controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
I looks like Ieyasu might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Cavalcante looking for a sweep. Not yet Cavalcante, not yet.

Ieyasu gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Ieyasu is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Cavalcante's half guard.
Nice strikes from Ieyasu there.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Cavalcante is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Ieyasu pulls his head out easily.
Ieyasu is controlling the pace.
Cavalcante on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tokugawa Ieyasu dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!



Ieyasu darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Ieyasu is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Cavalcante looking for submissions off his back.

Despite being in the dominant position, Tokugawa Ieyasu just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Cavalcante has his takedown stuffed

and Ieyasu counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Ieyasu's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Cavalcante looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Ieyasu has picked Cavalcante up and slammed him! Cavalcante can't keep hold of the triangle and Ieyasu manages to pass to side control!

Ieyasu has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Ieyasu shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Cavalcante is looking to improve his position.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Ieyasu is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Ieyasu not doing much here.

Cavalcante looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ieyasu takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Cavalcante looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Ieyasu slows the pace down in half guard.
Ieyasu works his foot free and advances to mount.
Cavalcante tries to reverse the position but Ieyasu maintains control.
Ieyasu landing shots from mount.

Cavalcante is working to get back to half guard.
Ieyasu controlling his opponent.

Ieyasu working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Cavalcante turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Ieyasu off and cradles Cavalcante's limp body as Ieyasu celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:39 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Tokugawa Ieyasu!
