Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Alec Ball and Gregory Folan.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Solomon shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Couillut sprawls well. Couillut wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Solomon gets slowly back to his feet.
Solomon misses with a takedown attempt - Couillut sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

No joy there for Couillut, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Solomon has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Couillut can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Solomon had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Couillut is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Solomon Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Couillut's back instead.

Solomon is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Couillut has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Couillut shoots for a takedown but Solomon saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Couillut got a little sloppy there for a moment and Solomon has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Couillut has managed to get both his arms back between Solomon's legs - danger averted.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Couillut wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Solomon's closed guard. He's half up but Solomon has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Solomon pivots and extends the arm, Couillut falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Solomon! Well done that man!
